Eel River at Bowling Green. .Rainfall amounts of up to 2.40 inches today in isolated locations combined with two to nearly four inches over much of central and southern Indiana yesterday is bring producing minor flooding to portions of the East Fork White and middle to lower White River basins. Minor flooding developing on the lower Wabash is possible as well, but confidence is low there. Locally higher amounts may cause rises that are higher than current crests indicate, and those with interests along area rivers should keep updated with the latest information as additional forecasts and warnings are issued. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Driftwood River near Edinburgh. * WHEN...From this evening to late Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.2 feet, Lowland flooding in progress along Driftwood River in northern Bartholomew County on April 6, 2011. Double Y Saddle Club area flooded. At least 6 inches of water flowing over CR 950N to Club. Water is less than one foot away from CR 330W just south of its intersection with Ohio Ridge Rd. CR 500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular access to residences near the river bank. Lowell Public Access site is open but ramp is totally flooded. Water close to one residence at Shelby CR 1000S and CR 900W. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 11.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM EDT Tuesday was 11.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.1 feet tomorrow evening. Youngs Creek at Amity. .Heavy rainfall has brought Youngs Creek at Amity back above flood stage, and rain throughout today will keep flooding there until Thursday morning. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Youngs Creek at Amity. * WHEN...From this morning to early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Johnson County Roads 350 S and 400 S west of US 31 are closed by flood waters. Upstream in Youngs Creek watershed, flooding of city of Franklin parks with flood waters possibly 3 feet deep in some areas. CR 200 N at CR 75 W on northwest side of Franklin and CR 250 S west of US 31 closed by high water. Amity ditch is out of its banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 AM EDT Wednesday was 7.8 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this morning to 6.8 feet late this morning. It will then rise above flood stage late this morning to 8.0 feet just after midnight tonight.
