At 2:44 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and up to quarter size hail. A severe thunderstorm was located 45 kilometres northwest of Windsor, moving east at 70 km/h. Hazards: - 100 km/h wind gusts. - Quarter size hail. Locations impacted include: Sarnia, Port Lambton, Sombra, Courtright, Corunna, Wilkesport, Point Edward, Brigden, Bentpath. ### Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
