At 1059 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bogota, or 10 miles southwest of Newton, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Olney, Ste. Marie, Sailor Springs, Bogota, Claremont, Wakefield, Wendelin, Dundas, Ingraham, and West Liberty. This also includes Newton Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area.
