Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of heavy rain producing thunderstorms are expected through Thursday morning across the watch area. The storms may be slow moving or redeveloping over the same areas resulting in torrential rainfall and possibly several inches of rain by Thursday morning.

Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. .Rounds of heavy rain will produce flooding on portions of the Wapsipinicon River. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...From Thursday evening to Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Water affects homes along old U.S. Highway 61. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 11.7 feet Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
