Yellow River at Necedah affecting Juneau County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Wisconsin River at Muscoda. * WHEN...From this evening to late Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, There is extensive lowland flooding. However no flooding has been reported in Muscoda in previous years. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 8.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 9.9 feet early Sunday afternoon. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has indicated that the Calendonia-Lewiston Levee along the Wisconsin River may become compromised as the river levels rise. If this takes place, a rapid inundation of water is expected along the south and west side of the river. The City of Portage is not anticipated to be impacted by a potential compromise of the Caledonia-Lewiston Levee. * WHERE...A portion of south central Wisconsin, including the following counties, Columbia and Sauk along the south and west side of the Wisconsin River. Areas affected include, but are not limited to the Pine Island State Wildlife Area and portions of Highway 33.
