* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Bulloch, Candler, Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty, Coastal McIntosh, Effingham, Evans, Inland Bryan, Inland Chatham, Inland Liberty, Inland McIntosh, Jenkins, Long, Screven and Tattnall and southeast South Carolina, including the following areas, Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Coastal Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Dorchester, Hampton, Inland Berkeley, Inland Colleton, Inland Jasper and Tidal Berkeley. * WHEN...Through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Numerous to widespread showers and thunderstorms will impact the region Friday through Saturday. As much as 1 to 4 inches of rain has fallen across parts of lower Charleston County today. An additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 4 PM. The risk for minor flooding of low- lying and poor drainage areas continues. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Edisto Beach, Hollywood, Ravenel, Seabrook Island, Meggett, Rockville, Bears Bluff, Adams Run, Edisto Island and Yonges Island.

While rain will continue to diminish, it will take some time for flood waters to recede. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain has fallen in some areas this afternoon. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
