Windy conditions will persist along the beaches of south coastal South Carolina and north coastal Georgia through midnight as strong high pressure wedges south across the region. Wind gusts as high as 35 mph could occur at times and will be highest along the immediate beach front and on the elevated or exposed bridges and roads heading out to the barrier islands. Some communities that will be impacted include Dewees Island, Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, Folly Beach, Kiawah Island, Edisto Beach, Hunting Island, Fripp Island, Hilton Head Island, Tybee Island and Sapelo Island.

Be careful when driving high profile vehicles across bridges and overpasses.
