A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM... At 736 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and a thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This activity was located 9 nm west of Talbot Island, or 39 nm northwest of Saint Augustine, moving east at 25 knots.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
