A cold front crossing the area overnight, with a wave of low pressure moving up along it, will bring about a period of snow with temperatures falling below freezing, along with a brief period of gusty winds. Snow could accumulate one to two inches. This will lead to snow covered roads, with moisture freezing beneath the snow, along with reduced visibility. Be prepared for slick spots on untreated roads early this morning, particularly on bridges and overpasses. Please allow extra time to reach your destination.

The snow will be brief in nature, and for many places be accompanied by west to northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. The combination of snow and gusty winds, though relatively brief in duration, may result in reduced visibility and potentially slick roads if out traveling late this evening into the overnight.
