HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Hazard, Whitesburg, Hindman, Letcher, Mason, Estill, Bath, Cumberland, Evarts, Lynch, Martin, Pippa Passes, Benham, Wayland, Vicco, Blackey, Elic, Big Fork, Cody, and Buck. THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS... Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 52 and 59. Kentucky Highway 80 in Floyd County between mile markers 1 and 10. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, Bell, Clay, Harlan, Knox and Leslie. * WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 756 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain has fallen over the past 3 hours. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area this evening. This additional rain will likely result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pineville, Middlesboro, Blanche, Rella, Arjay, Cary, Kettle Island, Straight Creek, Field, Wasioto, Wallsend, Miracle, Walker, Callaway, East Pineville, Varilla, Mills, Fourmile, Calvin and Ponza.
