At 1131 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has exited Greenbrier County, leaving only light scattered showers. However, between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell earlier this evening, resulting in heavy runoff that quickly filled small creeks and drainages. Some of these small creeks have been reported out of their banks this evening, causing flash flooding of nearby roads near the town of Rupert. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Rainelle... Rupert... Quinwood... Renick... Falling Spring... Anjean... Williamsburg... This includes the following streams and drainages...
