Service Notice – November 2025: The Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) CAP Service undergoes changes from time to time as the business of alerting evolves. For 2025, changes are expected to include... 1) ECCC's initiative to upgrade the presentation of alerts into Colour-Coded Weather Alerts is tentatively set for deployment November 26, 2025. Wet trend continues in flood prone areas. Where: Fraser Valley. When: This weekend into next week. Additional information: More rainfall is in store over the upcoming days for the already saturated Fraser Valley. A relatively weak frontal system is pushing into the Lower Mainland and is bringing light rain today. Although the precipitation is expected to intensify this evening, rainfall totals are predicted to be relatively light. Amount totals between 10 to 20 mm for western and central sections of the Fraser Valley, with 20 to 40 mm possible near Hope. Minimal precipitation is expected during the day on Saturday. However, another system will move into the area Saturday night, followed by a potentially significant push of moisture Monday and into early next week. Rainfall amounts are currently uncertain but warnings will be issued as necessary in the upcoming days. Also, there is an increased risk of landslide activity with the additional precipitation causing further slope destabilization.
