* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Kansas, including the following counties, Brown, Jackson, Marshall and Nemaha. * WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms from Thursday night into early Friday morning produced areas of 5-9 inches of rainfall in the watch area. Additional thunderstorms are expected to initially develop in southeastern Nebraska this evening. While there is some uncertainty in how far south these storms will move, if they make it into far northeast Kansas, there is high-end potential for another 1-2 inches of rain to fall where grounds are already well saturated.
