Service Notice - September 2024: The Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) CAP Service undergoes changes from time to time as the business of alerting evolves. For Fall 2024, changes are expected to include... 1) location adjustments to the new Coastal Flooding Warning Program that has been implemented back in Spring 2024, 2) Marine Warning Program and Hurricane Warning Program (for tropical cyclone information statements only) will start to use water zone splits, 3) new parameters in CAP will be created to represent the weather event's start time and the weather event's end time, 4) ECCC's initiative to upgrade the presentation of alerts into a risk-colour tiered structure is in progress. Existing elements’ values will be updated and new parameters will be added in a future release, and 5) other minor improvements and corrections.
