Special Weather Statement issued January 22 at 7:18PM CST by NWS Corpus Christi TX
Effective: Fri January 23, 2026, 1:18 AM
Expires: Fri January 23, 2026, 3:00 PM
Very shallow clouds have been bouncing between the surface and a few hundred feet off the ground. Therefore, there have been areas and occasional times of fog impacting ground-based visibility across portions of South Texas this evening. These conditions will likely continue through Friday morning as low-levels saturate even more. Expect visibilities diminishing to 1-4 miles with a few locations seeing visibilities 1/4 mile or less at times. Use caution if traveling as visibility may change rapidly in a short amount of time. Use low beam headlights and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road.
