* WHAT...Dense fog will reduce visibility to 1/4 to 1/2 NM. * WHERE...Portions of Lake Superior. * WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Low visibility will make navigation difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Fog and low stratus was observed on satellite over the open water and along portions of the North Shore. Expect fog to move into the Taconite Harbor to Grand Portage zones and persist into the afternoon. Fog is expected to clear gradually today from southwest to northeast. Conditions will improve near the Twin Ports first as southwest winds push drier air over the water. Conditions will improve latest near Grand Marais and Grand Portage.
