The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Red Flag Warning for low humidity, breezy westerly winds, and critically dry drought-stricken fuels. This will be in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In Florida, Baker, Inland Nassau, Union, Bradford, Inland Flagler, Eastern Hamilton, Eastern Clay, Eastern Alachua, Eastern Putnam, Eastern Marion, Trout River, Western Clay, Western Putnam, Central Marion, Northern Columbia, South Central Duval, Southeastern Columbia, Western Duval and Western St. Johns. * TIMING... * WINDS...Southwest to West around 15 mph and gusts to 20 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Up to 87. * IMPACTS...Existing wildfires may behave erratically during the afternoon and evening hours. The times presented here are based upon the solunar theory, which is the idea that the movements of fish and other animals are affected by the location of the sun and moon. The major periods are believed to be the times of the greatest animal activity and occur when the moon is directly overhead or underfoot (lunar transits). The minor periods also see increased activity and occur when the moon is rising or setting. The strongest activity occurs during full or new moons, and the weakest during quarter or three quarter moons. This is indicated by the Action Rating.
