Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are likely, though isolated gusts higher than 60 mph will be possible. The strongest winds are expected near and to the north of Palmer. For areas west of Wasilla, winds will be gusty but lighter. Winds are expected to decrease early Sunday morning. Looking ahead, winds may return the Matanuska Valley Tuesday into Wednesday.
