Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 200 PM AKDT, river gauge reports indicate rises in water levels from heavy rain across the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, especially near Talkeetna River at the Talkeetna Railroad Bridge. Between 3.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are possible. - Rainfall will move out of the advisory area this afternoon. However, drainage from prior heavy rainfall will continue to cause flooding through this evening. - For Susitna River near Sunshine: At 12:00pm the stage was 21.7 feet. Flood Stage is 24.5 feet. Forecast: A crest around 22.5 feet is expected around 10:00am Friday. For Talkeetna River Upstream of Talkeetna: At 12:45pm the stage was 11.6 feet. Flood Stage is 12.5 feet. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 845 PM AKDT, river gauge and social media reports indicate rises in water levels from heavy rain across the advisory area. Minor flooding is expected, especially near Willow Creek, Sheep Creek, Kashwitna River, Montana Creek and their tributaries. - For Willow Creek at Parks Highway: At 8:26pm the stage was 9.0 feet. Flood Stage is 10.0 feet. Forecast: A crest around 11.0 feet is expected around 4:00pm Thursday. - For Willow Creek near Willow: At 8:15pm the stage was 4.1 feet. Flood Stage is 5.9 feet. Water could enter a few low-lying cabins along the Yentna River, particularly near Lake Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 139 PM AKDT, recent heavy rains have caused rapid river rises. Minor flooding is expected to continue, especially along the Yentna River near Lake Creek. - For Yentna River at Lake Creek: At 1:30pm the stage was 21.5 feet. Flood Stage is 20.5 feet. Impacts: At 20.5 feet: Anglers Inn & King Point Lodges will have water in several cabins.
