The combination of strong west winds or 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph and low humidities of 20 to 30 percent, could produce critical fire weather conditions over most of northern and portions of central North Dakota. Near critical fire weather conditions are possible south of the fire weather watch where winds are not forecast to be as strong. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through early Sunday evening. * WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent. * AFFECTED AREA...Northwest and north central North Dakota and parts of the southwest and south central. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
