On Sunday, southwest winds will peak from 50 to around 60 mph over a larger portion of the area with continued very low humidity. In addition, there will be a slight chance of dry lightning on Sunday afternoon from virga showers along I-40 over central and western New Mexico, and also along I- 25 north of I-40 to the Colorado border. * AREA AND TIMING...Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), West Central Mountains, Basin, and Range (Zones 105 and 109) Sunday from noon to 8 PM MDT. * 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest at 25 to 40 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph. The strongest gusts will be over the mountains. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values of 10 to 15 percent, except up to 20 percent along the continental divide, and over 20 percent in the Chuska Mountains. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
