Large breaking waves can overpower swimmers resulting in significant physical injury and increase the risk of drowning.

* WHAT...River and stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Areas west of a line from Cotati to Healdsburg in the Sonoma coastal range. * Until 1230 PM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1214 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
