A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 25 to 35 cm is expected. When: Sunday morning to Monday morning. Where: North Coast Inland - including Stewart, Meziadin Junction, and portions of Highway 37 and Highway 37A. Additional Information: A frontal system brought approximately 14 cm of snow to the Stewart area today. Snow has tapered to light flurries this evening as the front moves inland. Another Pacific frontal system will move into the region on Sunday, bringing additional snowfall through Sunday night. Total snowfall accumulations of 25 to 35 cm are expected by early Monday morning, when the snow will taper to a few flurries. ### Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Local utility outages are possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Hazardous winter conditions are expected. What: Snow mixed with freezing rain overnight and Sunday morning, changing to rain at times heavy later Sunday through Sunday night. Where: North Coast Inland - including Terrace, and portions of Highway 37 and Highway 16. When: Now through Sunday morning. Remarks: A frontal system brought heavy snow to the region today, with accumulations ranging from 15 cm near Terrace to 40 cm near Onion Lake. Snow has tapered to a few flurries this evening. Another Pacific frontal system will approach the area overnight, bringing warm air aloft over colder air near the surface. This will result in snow mixed with freezing rain overnight and Sunday morning. Precipitation will then change to rain, at times heavy, later on Sunday, further deteriorating driving conditions. ### Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate.
